Barre Hiiraale has achieved what he wanted.

Postby The`Republic » Sat Aug 30, 2014 3:27 pm

He achieved both the long goals and the short goals.

People who aren't Marehan misunderstand Barre completely. They fail to understand why even those who oppose him treat him different.

Barre isn't a "warlord" like Somalis understand. He is a strong man for sure...but Barre never set up choickponts, engaged in illicit activities, driven by money in a criminal sense, etc.

I just can't imagine ANY of the peers of Barre (as Somalis like to imagine many men who fought) being treated like this...consistently welcomed at airports by ministers and being thought of in a diplomatic matter by neighboring embasies.

This is Barre upon coming to Mogadishu today to meet with the PM...before he goes back to Kismaayo before the 16th of next month.

When Barre decided to come to Kismaayo, Kenyan had just taken over. They installed a puppet leader Madoobe.

People tend to forget how the entire convo was about Kamboni and KDF.

The rest of Somalis watched helplessly as a blatent violation of Somali sovereignty hiding under fighting Shabab was put into effect by Kenya.

I mean at least Ethiopia was more sneaky. Kenya was just publicly insulting along with the injury.

No one was more vulnerable than Marehan. We were sidelined from the entire picture.

Today, in a move considered the most important watershed for Jubbaland's future...a conclusion was realized that effectively SIDELINED Kenya and Ahmed Madoobe.

The Gedo administration, IGAD, Ethiopia, and Somali government concluded a successful first start in really forming Jubbaland. It was interesting to watch the Governor of Gedo first in Goobweyn and then in Kismaayo while Barre made peace.

Barre wanted to shed light on Kenya's wilful coming rape of Somalia, put a barrier, and give the opposition momentum making the international community and Somali government time to operate.

Today, as a clan, no clan is more important than Marehan. In the Jubba maamul, except for Ahmed Madoobe, it is pretty much Sade. The government's policy in Jubba is Marehan from PM's office. The governor of Gedo is considered the most important regional partner on the issue for the international community and he is in Kismaayo tonight (the same man who kept warning of Kenyan genocide in Somalia), and the Goobweyn group has accepted peace on the best terms possible not only removing the "spoiler" excuse from Marehan but giving them greater leverage to be addressed and heard.

What Barre has done is nothing short of tactically masterful.

Now he is greeted like the hero he is and showered with national glory in Mogadishu where he will head back to Kismaayo in 2 weeks where the basket is filled with Marehan eggs from all angles.

Voltage what does barre actually want what is his objective is he against Jubbaland is he saying his clan is not represented.

Inaga jooji barre is not a warlord because he is marexaan ama warlordyada hawiye wa ka gobsanyahay because isbaaro mu dhigan ama masaakinta cadcadka ama bantuga mu mizaamin.

What does barre want, is he opposed against a strong Darood state in Kismayo?

Barre has set the foundation for the real Jubbaland and now hopefully there will be a era of peace and devolopment.

In this sense Barre is a eternal hero in Jubbaland and in Somalia for fighting Kenyas agenda in southern Somalia. Pax Marehania is a unstoppable result of Barre action and its needed. We are a nation. Long live Jubbaland.

I applaud peace being reached anywhere in Somalia. Congratulations to Madoobe and Barre for having the maturity and nationalism to abandon tribal warfare and work for a better future.

two immediate things will happen in kismaayo

1) puppet fartaag is out

2) hartis who have benefited from the last 2 years both financially and politically will lose everything.

i am glad barre hiiraale is back in the city, now things will get much better.

 wtf, why are you quoting and responding to yourself?
anyways, barre hiiraale was forced by ethiopia under igad to accept the reality.
he had no other choice. if he rejected the agreements, ethiopia's tplf ruling party would've cut ties with bare hiiraale.

When the mood changes and the city is flooded with Marehan and Ogaden, rent will increase, city will become vibrant again and business will flourish.

Voltage I don't think Barre or Madoobe won anything, it is the Marehan and Ogaden shacab in Jubaland who are the true winners.

Kaliil

Barre Hiiraale

Baldy

Fartaag

Abdi Janan

I have great respect for these guys from now on. Fighting over dusty town is a thing of the past and primitive thing. It's about time we Somalis unite. I welcome Marehan and Ogaden alliance but also the alliance of all native Jubalanders (excluding dirty dhabacyo's).

Barre Hirale is not a Warlord check
Barre Hirale does't hold the sprint world record 9.87sc from Kismayo to the Ethiopian bordercheck
Barre Hirale isn't the fastest Warlord check
Siyad Bare wasn't a dictator check
Abdiwali doesn't have bidar
check

Good post bro.

Some additional info that dispells the rumours (and fabricated) reports circulating Somalia's fadhi-ku-dirir websites:

1) Barre was not 'deported' from Kismaayo. The ministers and the speaker of parliament (Jawaari) pleaded that he comes to Muqdisho for formal talks with the head of Gov (and Somalia's international partners) before he resumes whatever he has got planned in Kismaayo. He left Kismaayo airport with some of his armed staff. He is due to return shortly before the conference.

2) The bulk (2/3) of the Goobweyn army are still in Goobweyn (and will enter Kismaayo once the reconcilation conference concludes). The other third are stationed in the former airbase of SNA. They were NOT disarmed and still have full autonomy.

3) Axmed Madoobe was taken back. It's said that he proclaimed -- infront of AMISOM, IGAD and UN delegations -- that I am hugely indebted to Barre as he saved my life when he was the defence minister back then (Barre was instrumental in his release after the fall of ICU).

Certain things will change after the 16/09/2014 conference and much of it will be in favour to the Goobweyn camp.
