Blessed land, inhabited by people who don't even know how to farm or make use of the land/river. What a shame, such a huge shame.
We do farm, there's currently no plots near the river because it's all farms either owned by diaspora or locals for a long long time. Reer Gedo farm to the point where there's rotting veg and fruit oo suuq loo waaye :(

Thanks for actually answering my question, unlike those two female posters above your quote...
Honestly Gedo, most of the prosperous farms in Somalia are the two Shebelle areas (Jowhar/Afgoye especially), where they grow rice, corn, oranges, sorghum, bananas, etc.. They only need Kebab to be removed and corruption within the government/locals in order for their business to thrive.

Shebelle areas alone can feed the entire Somali population in the 'Greater Somalia' area. While being able to export aswell on top of that.

I have high hopes for Hirshabelle :stylin:

I know your dislike of diaspora folks, they are more qabiliist than locals who just want to get on with their lives. What do you propose to happen in gedo? Surely the shabab threat should be the first thing to take care.
