Marehan map Doollo/Nugaal valley 1900

Marehan map Doollo/Nugaal valley 1900

As you can see on this map, Marehan right up until colonial era controlled what would be present day Doollo zones as our heartland and even more land in all direction, with these boundaries.

East Gaalkacyo, North Nugaal valley, South Shabelle river, West Hawd.

its a shrinkage from the pre-1900 map with even more land in this area

They were never lost......it seems Marehan moved further south.

They, like the Dhulbahante, suffered catastrophic losses during the 21 years of jihad.

We left the Nugaal valley to Dhulbahante and they gave it to dhaboyaco :down:

isn't the grave of awoowe sade located in sanaag? . so it makes sense for Marehan to migrate from sanaag to Ethiopia/mudug and then further south to jubbaland. i think we have upgraded each time.
