I am going to put Grandpa in a qoorsagàaro and ask him what the hell is wrong with him!!

Grandpa let's link up bro, wallahi I want to meet you and you are more of a local than I am so arrange this.

Guys , so far there isn't a part of Mog I haven't seen. I love this town wallahi and people. I think the single greatest thing to happen to this town is Hormuud and the bajaaj (tuktuk in Mombasa) job creation initiative.

There are a million bajaajyo on the streets and every kid to grandpa is driving one helped to buy one by Hormuud. You can crisscross town for 2-3 dollars on a bajaaj driven by a 16 year old.

Daljirka, all the usuals, the old Ceelgaab market, Hamarweyne, the new Mogadishu Mall (the doesn't even have open bathrooms for customers wat the hell), madaxtooyada, bakaaraha, etc I already seen.

I saw an old Marehan warlord from the 90's at the cafe shop on the ground floor side section of Mogadishu Mall.

Voltagow

Eebow runta iska sheeg ileen Marehan KM4 iyo guri Ceyr soo ma dhafee. Joke aside enjoy your time and my only advice is don’t act like the typical ciyaal qurbo who come to Somalia and act all holy and spoiled. I always laughed at those who think they are better and self rightous in Xamar just because of the stupid passport they hold. Mingle with people, eat what they eat and don’t complain 24/7 please. I hate those who 24/7 keep
Comparing their useless life in the west with what is available in Somalia. American was not build overnight so don’t come expecting the same standards back home please.

So as an update, I just want to say Grandpa and I have spoken on our local Somalia numbers and we were both busy, him heading to work I think, and me jostling for CAANO GEEL freshly milked from just brought in fat Abgaal geel. I was promised a casuumad but so far I haven't received the invite yet. And now Sadeboi is also in town so there has to be two invites. Grandpa waa lagu sugahayaa hadee hadaa iska mashquushay

Osob, the entire neighborhood now knows me better than my own cousin (who just happens to be REER DALAL, hello again GRANDPA :D ). The first day I arrived he called me crazy because as soon as put my bags away, I put on macawiis and was playing SHAX with odayaasha luuqeena (you were close but they aren't Cayr, but SACAD :D ).

Osob, the last thing I can be is pretentious even if I tried it, I hate fake people and I hate even worse anyone who thinks any material thing (whether clan, race, passport, money, etc) makes them even remotely any better than any other human being.

I don't even like riding a car here, immediately put down any possibility of riding a private car, and argue against even a Dhaweeye (uber type car here in mog) if I can help it. I only take BAJAAJ (tuktuk) to be a true local and I think my local phone is probably 95% saved with Bajaaj drivers I befriend who end up being great local guides.

As for your OSOB, I was actually hoping you would read this topic and extend me a very surprising but hoped for tea and chat put about town. Or should I have to say is garo too, j/k I don't even know if you are in town

Am glad to see you are enjoying ur time in Xamar and remember it’s still not safe at least in certain neighborhoods. For an invite, I would have walaahi but am no longer in Xamar but living in Abu Dubai to my husbands work but travel often. It’s not easy raising 4 sons all under the age of 12. I invited your cousin Murax so many times for Isbarmuuto as I don’t drink tea unfortunately but alas waa fulaye. As for you saying Sacad and not Ceyr, all I know is where there Ceyr marehan is not far off.
