Have you read Burton sxb? When I first read it I didn't think much of his Marehan observations in Harar but now it is huge to me as part of a History I am starting to understand

By the time Burton was walking there obviously Marehan was already partly on the Jubba River, but it is hugely important that he documented Marehan still had residual leftover in Harar who, as he says, were under the protection of the most powerful of their next of Kin (Geri Koombe).

Both of those points are hugely importang reinforcing the veracity of the other as well as serving as a connective point in a large storyline

The only Siyaad in Marehan apart from Rer Siyaas Ugaas are in rer Omar Siyaad (Hawlrarsame), reer Siyaad Garaad (rer Garaad), rer Siyaad Cigaal (rer Siyaad Hussein), and rer Siyaad Liibaan (Wagardhac.)
