God bless Beled-Xaawo man. The town where I have more immediate family right now than anywhere else in Somalia. The town where both of my grandfathers died. Few places have suffered in Somalia as much as Beled-Xaawo has but Beled-Xaawo is the personification of RESILIENT.

I love to see it grow.

It always surprises people to find out Beled-Xaawo was the 2ND BIGGEST SOURCE OF COLLECTED CUSTOMS TAX after Mogadishu during governance, but that's only because their only reference is civil war Somalia.

BELED-XAAWO IS THE 🗝️ TO THE ENTIRE SOUTHERN ETHIOPIAN. MARKET.

Beled-Xaawo - to Mooyaale - to Liban - Borana - Sidama -Guji - Bale - Shoa and Addis

Beled-Xaawo lives, breathes, and sweats trade.

As long as humans eat, cloth, decorate, and build Beled-Xaawo will never die. That's why it couldn't during the civil war.

100 million strong southern Ethiopian market was running with a defibrillator resuscitating Beled-Xaawo for being their connective navel to the Indian ocean trade.
