Why is the Somaliland claim so high?

It's come to my attention that many 'Somalis' have mysteriously become 'Somalilanders'. But it's weird because there are so many other semi-autonomous regions in Somalia therefore technically making the majority of the peninsula from different areas and not just Somalia but it always seems to be the northerners who try the hardest to exclude themselves from the Somali scene.

If you read carefully it says the claim people are increasingly starting to have in the Somali community. I've never known anyone from Somaliland in my entire life but now everyone I know seems to be from there.
