Wrong statement. According to the undp estimates. Mudug region is 350 000. All of somalia is 7 million. I did these calculations in the clan politics section on who is the bigger tribe. My conclusion using these undp census is. 1.1 million isaaq...2 million darod..3 million hawiye...1 million raxanweyn, somali little tribes.

Now that doesn't mean hawiye is more then darod, hawiye is probably more then darod within somalia, however outside of somalia if we include ogadenia into darod population...that boost darod up to 7-10 million.

Darod is without a doubt the biggest tribe among somalis. Even after giving kismayo to hawiye and all the jubba they still are roughly 3 million.

But ogadenia population is 4.5 million according ethiopia census who has been criticised for rigging the census because they want to give ogadenia more representation in the parliament. You can view ethiopia statistic here from their government census website.

So 9.2 million ogadenia...and ogaden are definitely the majority...so 7 million would be at least ogadens and 2 million other tribes. 7 million plus 2 million darods within somalia takes darod count to 9 million bare minimum. And this is not even including nfd, tanades in ethiopia, or southern darods in jubba.

I gave jubba to hawiye and still their population is 3 million. they have a few garres in nfd which is like 250 000 and few hawiyes in ethiopia which are very small its not worth counting. Hawiye 3 to 3.5 million dhaafi meeyan...they cant reach 9-10 million darods.

Sames goes for isaaq dhaafi meyan 1.1 million to 2 million.

But that topic is covered in clan politics section using undp statistics. But as far as mudug is concerned. It is 350 000. So paidmonk don't make comments out of ignorance, if u don't know research or just shut up.
