Its always about limited resources and land. Good thing they usually end up getting resolved before things get very ugly.

I noticed some clans listen better to their elders than others. If everyone thought about the consequences of war, we wouldn't have so much of it.

Murax,

Cawliyahan mostly settle in Jubadda Dhexe, specially in and around Bu'aale. Also in Dujuma, Saakow, Baadheere, etc. Some near the Kenyan border, very few though. My father was actually born in Diinsoor which is on the other side of Bakool, inside Gabarre territory. So was my mother. They were neighbors since childhood.

Somali Star,

Bartire claim they have more camels than Cawliyahan. Its too funny actually.

Kolombo,

Your families probably like Mine, left their ancestoral land very young to bigger cities. My Pops left at 13 to Kismaayo for school, and stayed there for awhile then went to Mogadishu.

Murax,

Its actually an interesting story how my father ended up in Diinsoor. His parents were fleeing British troops chasing down nomads, if you have ever paid attention to colonial practices in Somalia, you will notice that the colonials didn't know how to colonize the nomads and tax them. They tried everything from chasing them out to killing their camels, but they could never tax and document them. There was a particular incident near Baardheere around 1930s-1940s when the British rounded up many nomads and put them in a concentration camp to starve them out. My grandparents escaped it and fled 'till they came to Diinsoor. Most of my grandparents siblings perished because the British set the camp on fire as it was said. It was very gruesome period.

The Tension was between a sub clan of reer cabdille and Bartire. It was at the outskirts of Afmadow towards Buaale.

Somali Star keep your reer warfa Vs reer Isaq animosity to yourself.
In Waamo its called Mamed Zubeir not reer Warfa

Lets hope the tension cools down and no muslim blood is shed again.

Cawlyahan clan members live from the outskirts of Garissa town (on the left side of Kismayo road) all the way towards Kismayo, where they settle with the Reer Abdilles (we Ogaden sijuis call all them them Mohamed Zubeir) and Bartires.

Reer Abdille must be the fourth largest Ogadeni sub-clan in Garissa town, after Cawlyahan, Abduwaak and Abdalla...
