Wardheer waa magaalo weyn aadna u Qurux badan it's a remarkable city in every sense of the word

It is one of the major 9 provinces in Ogadenia,Wardheer is bordered on the south by Godey on the west by Qoraxay on the northwest by Dhagaxbur and on the northeast and southeast by Somalia. Wardher has Cool and temperate climate,it is very fertile, greenish and rich in agriculture.

Wardheer is strategically important and historically a significant city .One of the forts Sayyid Mohammed Abdullah Hassan constructed in 1910 was built in Wardheer, it’s similart to the one the Sayyid built in Taleex.

The earliest mention of the word Wardheer was during Ahmed Gurey’s Campaign ,the inhabitants of Wardheer area wore white sheet around their head and fought bravely with the army of Ahmed Gurey. In terms of clan composition Wardher is multi clan city,Harti iyo MR aya dega but is predominantly maqbuul province.
