What do you know about Jannay Cabdalle village in Afmadow?

My side of the story says that my great grandfather founded it 5 years before or after 1900 with his Ogaden wife. It used to be majority MJ but now I hear its majority Ogaden.

i do not know the history of the village, but not it's Og Degaan. also, hargeysa yare, bulo gaduud and mareerey which was not originally absame degaan is now absame degaan. while people were fightin over kismaayo, absame was working behind doors by takin over kismaayo sorroundings which matters the most.

Question for yo too. i heard that calanleey was founded and named after and OG dude whose name was calanleey. ever heard that

I don't know about Calanleey but Mareereey is in Jilib right, a lot of MJ families used to live there.

What I know is that the OGs that now live in Jannay Cabdalle are the families that I'm related to or their clan.

^ I don't think so. Towns are named after people who founded them (like Belet XAWO) or ancient references (like GALKACYO). No town is named after a clan big-foot boy.

No idea how the name came about. But I do remember it being mostly Ogaadeen town in '91 when we were in Kismaayo.

Most of the MJs who live in Jannay Cabdalle moved there from Calanley. Morgan even hid there in '98 when he lost the city.
