this song brings tears to my eyes. It was composed during the Somali-ethiopian war 77. :cry:

just sad that the guy was killed by the same people he was singing to. :|

Mandeeq, the Ogaden war in 1977 was written in to songs, movies, imprinted on hearts and public spaces. The Naftii hure song is one among many. It's still a significant song, to some extent. The composer and singer was Abdi Kamil Awale. He was from Dilla. But used to live in Jigjiga. As it has been reported, he was killed by Tigre security forces on May 28th 2007. May he rest in peace.

Mandeeq, are you being completely serious? I never would have thought of ONLF taking him out. There are worse pay outs walking on earth, come to think of it. I wonder why they are not targeted?

You clearly getting right to the heart of the matter. Abdi Kamil didn't die by untraceable Tigre's poison. He was murdered, I assure you. For some reason most Kamil's fans don't want to hear that - or, more importantly, the evidence that proves it. Shame.
