ONLF Statement: Gashamo Massacre
MONDAY, 19 MARCH 2012 13:10 OGADEN ONLINE
Ethiopian Army controlled Special police massacre civilian in OgadenThe so-called Liyu Police in Ogaden has burned the villages of Galka-boodo-libaah, Dhoobo Guduud, Raqda and Adaada, killing many villagers and destroying property in Gashamo district of Degahbur region in Ogaden in March 16, 2012.
This same group conducted such a massacre in Gunagado and Garbo districts last month. Such action has been a common occurrence for the last three years. The Liyu police is a bandit paramilitary force trained, armed and funded by the Ethiopian government through aid provided by the international community to Ethiopia.
The Ethiopian government formed this depraved militia in order to supplant Ethiopian army pogrom in Ogaden and disown Ethiopian Army genocide in Ogaden. ONLF strongly condemns this vile and cowardly act and calls upon the international community, specifically the UN, to take immediate action investigating the continuous atrocities committed by the Ethiopian Army and its paramilitary forces and sanctioned by the Ethiopian regime in Addis Ababa.
ONLF calls upon the people in Ogaden to avoid falling into petty tribal sentiments intended to divide and rule the Somali people in Ogaden and divert attention from the colonial rule of Ethiopia.

Some liyo police militia were mistreating a young girl near a village in gaashaamo some reer hy young lad told them to fuck off they beated him and eventually killed him the Hy IN GAASHAAMO Heard about the incident and went after the Liyo militia killed 9 of the liyo militia they fled to wardheer came back the same night and burned down some villages near gashaamo killing innocent civilians the next day another war broke out situation is still tense.
Not so sure khaatumo is in taleex they have nothing to do with this by the way its not garxajis its reer cirsi cismaan and a few isxaaq so just hy hawd

I think this war is more about why Liyu polis supported Khaatumo and since HY are furious it seems that they think like retaliating and avenging in Kilil5 will change the favour of the war. But sad thing is Gashaamo will never be administered from Hargeisa.
Meles nor Iley will allow Gashaamo to be an administrative district of SL.
