Colonel, Ogadenia is already a nation, and it has it's own unique history. What I prefer or beleive doesn't matter, but I'll have to flow the leaders and what ever the public decides.

I don't think the leadership is stupid enough to join the mess which is Somalia.

Once the land is liberated we shall rule it ourselves, we'll get access to ports via Kismayo and NFD. I don't think reer NFD are ready for a liberation war right now however it will ultimatelly happen in the near future thanks to the weakness of the Kenyan army.

We must also secure our lands in the Jubbas but this should be done by Ras Kambooni and not ONLF as it would be seen as a tribal offensive from our part.

The ultimate aim is to be fully independant and not need to rely on any other tribe.

Tribe is not the card you need to use, even in this board. I said Ogadenia is a nation, not a tribe. Tribalism is what has got Somalia in that position so let's not go there. If and When, Ogadenia (Somali Galbeed) gets it's freedom, most likely Maxamed Subeer, Makahiil and Bah-Geri will be finished, their numbers will be in the hundreds, if not less. The camels you brag about will go into the hands of other clans that watched your boys get killed and annihilate along with the Liyu Police/Habasha.

That's a good question. Back in the days there were alot of supporters handing over money to ONLF but after when the new system came out there was less, but there is still a lot that hands over money to support ONLF.

Their was a time when only the tramps in the streets were recruited to the Liyuu police, today you need to have finished atleast lower school education to qualify. Their was a time when the Ethiopians barely ventured into the Hawd for fear of being ambushed, today they have foreign nationals drilling for Oil and Gas out in the open. Their was a time when the somali concscripts serving the Ethiopians were in the hundreds, today they are in the thousands. All this point to an organization in decay, not in rise.

To admit something has failed does not mean you are abandoning what you were doing, nor does it entail going against what you fought for. It takes a special human to accept their shortcomings, the ONLF as it currently stands has zero chance of winning militarily anytime in the future.

As long as you have the Liyuu police running around, arresting elders, and humiliating your supporters you have no chance. As long you have your top leaders spending most of their time in the diaspora you have no chance. As long as the rich and their sons look from the sidelines, while the poor bear the brunt of the work you stand no chance.

The goal of the ONLF is to liberate not survive or wait their chances on the porbabilities of some event. The real question is why their has been a lack of accountability of the failures of the organization to acknowledge the decline of its power and the ascent of its adversary. Ina lagaroone, we are not in 1984 when everything was started from scratch. N it is Ogaden, not Somali-galbeed! We are nation of millions, not a gablan dhabayaco who can't go beyond Isku shuban. My boys are doing well and to this day and date they are playing dhaantos beyond Hawash river.
