Ethiopia is a state made up by approximately 80 different ethnic groups with a population reaching 90 millions against a liberation movement that only gets support from one clan. To answer your question, I would say, the day Somalis no matter clan affiliation stand up for eachother, realizing that they are xidid iyo dad wada dhashay. Thats the day western Somalia, thats made up by the Ogaden and the Hawd, will be liberated.
WSLF is dead and the ONLF is fighting despite limited resources. Can you remove your clan lenses? All you talk about is qabiil this and qabiil that. Btw majority of the WSLF was Ogaden because they outnumber everyone in that region but all the other clans were involved in WSLF and took part of the liberation. When the war took an abrupt turn, majority of the other clans left the region. For instance majority of Ciise left Diridhaba and nearby towns and headed for Djibouti while majority of Isaaq and Gudubiirsi left for Somaliland. The majority of the Ogaden in WSLF then created a new liberation front and that was the ONLF. Some Dir clans were not happy with the name so they kept the WSLF but a couple of years ago, like 3 or 4, they joined the Ethiopian government after a peace agreement, so the only clan fighting is Ogaden. WSLF was the f-king bomb. they were everything onlf was not, then after the war ONLF comes, and wants to free only ogadeen clans areas of galbeed, WSLF wanted to free all of all galbeed and all the clans, you can see which one was the bigger threat for ethiopia and was destroyed by like 5 countries.
