The Ogaden National Liberation Front (ONLF) was established in 1984, aiming to break away from Ethiopia, which it accuses of human rights violations against people in the Ogaden region, an area that lies between Somalia and Ethiopia and is home to nearly eight million people.

Addis Ababa has responded by declaring the ONLF a terrorist group and has accused itof destabilising the country.

Now, the ONLF's top leadership has gathered in Pretoria to drum up support for their cause.
