League of Nations: Agreement to compensate Harti sub-clans

Postby Ahmed-Gurey » Fri Apr 03, 2009 8:36 am

This agreement between UK and Italy was signed around September 1930 with Somali sub-clans.

The most compensated for the raids carried out between 1925-30 by colonial Britain and Italy are Harti, particularly Dhulbahante and Warsangeli.

Clans compensated are

Habaryonis
Dubeis
Garaad Cabdalle
Cismaan Moxamud
Leelcase
Sacad
Mareehan
Wabeneye
Jama Siyaad
Mohamoud Ugaaryahan.

and many others. Harti take the bulk of it as the rest of Somali clans were too insignificant.

Compensation for occurences in the Anglo-Italian border. Considering the Anglo-Italian border is in the middle of Harti land it makes sense that Hartis would get compensated more.

It is funny Marehan took as much compensation as Dhullos and Mj when they are not even near the border. :|

Voltage, what about the anglo-Italian border between British Juballand and Italian Somaliland?
You right Harti also populates this part of Somalia.

Malmaha are u just dumb or stupid...read the document it is united nation fact. That italian-British raids on somali clans are going to be compensated. The clans to be compensated are the ones who tried to fight back, the clans that will not be compensated are the ones who didn't fight and just submitted because no harm reached those ppl. Most of hawiye except sacad just submitted....most of isaaq except habar yonis submitted...however nearly all darod clans fought to preserve their identity...this proves that ppl who are quickly to sell out their somalinimo if attacked are the clans who didn't fight the colonizers.

I am proud my subclan cisman maxamud stood strong in defense against italian and british assaults...whilsts other clans who are not mentioned in this document futada bey u dibsadeen ajnabida...

So this article tells u that the clans who fought and were harmed in raids will be compensated by the british, lakin no compensation will go to other somalis because they didnt fight they just surrendered without even a fight..they give their asses to the west without even trying to defend themselves..
