Where does the produce from these fertile areas go......is it mostly cash crops for export?

Not sure. My family grows sorghum and I think sesame in rotation, the produce is all sold in Xamar as far as I know. I'm assuming the farm owners who produce Bananas and some other crops might export some of the produce for better revenue. Some are actually doing just that I think.

There needs to be a agricultural policy put in place.
Cash crops to generate foreign earnings and staple crops to feed the country.

Farmers need to be supported with farm equipment, credit services, trained personnel....and most importantly....cheap imports.
