Faysal Falaluug and Axmed Doolaal have a clear understanding of what Khaatumo was created for:
Midayn iyo Xorayn.
And they both understand the basic principle:
Nin xabbad ku yimi xabbad uun buu ku tegi.
It's very clear , very black and white for Dhulbahante. It doesn't matter how long it takes, one has to fight back and restore his dignity. That's what men do. The youthful audience who questioned President Cali Khaliif Galaydh at the Buuhoodle lecture presented a very pathetic picture. They expect an 80 year old academic to fight for them. This is the malaise of the Dhulbahante youth in SSC. They are supposed to be the fighting brigades of Khaatumo, but are ideologically unprepared for this. That is why you have thousands of youth in Laascaanood submitting to a few iiddor technicals. Waa dhalinyaro la dhufaaney. They have the potential to fight, but due to the failure of an ideologically commited leadership, no one has harnessed these youth. No one has indoctrinated them to see the iiddor as the enemy, to fight and kill the enemy at every opportunity. The numbers are there, but they have not been mobilised. Youth don't need money to fight, they just need a leader/warlord and a cause. Khaatumo has failed to provide both. Khaatumo has also failed in the most basic technique of fighting a larger force, as articulated in Mao's famous dictum:
Withdraw when he advances , harass him when he stops, strike him when he is weary, and pursue him when he withdraws.
They have not even attempted to disrupt the supply lines on the roads and highways, have rarely used the assassination option (the killing of Ina Af love, the Habr Jeclo in Laascaanood was a rare exception) and so on and so forth.
Faysal Falaluug has great potential to be this leader, basically because of what he offers, as OD rightly points out, integrity, patriotism and the will to fight despite the odds. You don't need a PhD at this stage.
Both Mao and Che Guevara agreed that a good resistance leader must have these qualities:
Strong moral conduct, unyielding, resolute, loyal to his people, sincere and robust.
He deserves a lot of moral, financial and military support from his people.
