Meesha Dhulos companies need to start building business and people need to invest more in it, Laakin they are all scared of it becoming a war zone. Only in the last few years did people really start building or investing you can see the private sector is starting to pick up.

Enjoy Laaska I used to hike in the Hills and the surrounding areas outside Laascaanood.

I think I was told the boarding school is nearly finished.

I hope it has. I’m sick of false promises

gashaanle sare mahad cambaashe is somaliland warrior he does his country proud.

and don't forget about business man maxamed jabuutawi how is his electric company doing.
I have a very different opinion on Mahad cambaashe but ina jabutaaw doesn’t run the electricity of the town anymore. Lesco headed by Abdi Geele another JS fellow provided cheap and efficient electricity to the whole town. He is in beledweyne now and is trying to establish a base there as well.
you have to admit laascaanood has improved tenfolds under somaliland rule laascaanood hospital, nugaal university now golis university expanding before it was a mess nothing but shootings assassinations it's more stable now and my girl fahima quuje maybe become mayor soon.
Las Anod developed naturally the Jeegaan administration haven't invested a dime into the city. The hospital was refurbished and expanded by western aid donors and Nugaal University was built by the diaspora.

I doubt that before 2007 lasanod was dead and after 2007 and onwards to 2018 it's stark contrast somaliland peace and stability has facilitated international aid donars and diaspora to come back to invest into lasanod also government has paved alot roads installed street lights and urban planning is under way local administration is improving the town, peace and security is key to development.

it's ok to be mucarid but you have to give credit when it's due.

I’ve been in Lasanod for a week now and I must say I’m quite impressed. The town has grown exponentially since I last visited in 2006 and their is construction in the works in every corner. I also bought a plot next to my grandfathers place where we reside in Jamalaaye.

I must say I agree with Sharmaake though, Lasanod residents have invested a lot in buying big houses. But the Business sector needs to improve. I’m disappointed in the fact that the town has been segregated in to subclans confining themselves in certain areas. This is especially true in places like Madareemin
Their is something about the ambience when you sit on Burt’s sayidka and look down in the town at sunset.
I’ve realised that Lasanod is also very clean compared to other places I have visited thus far.

The new stadium is also great and has decent seating. The older boys play great football too. Opposite the stadium is Mahad Cambaashes house. I was shocked to see how big his house was no wonder this guy is pro somaliland. They feed him well. It’s almost as big as Casuura hotel which is right next to it.

Places like Oog and Yagoori have grown tremendously. I drove past oog and stayed in yagoori for a night. It has grown well. I will be visiting yeyle and hadhwanaag tomorrow and Buhoodle the day after. :som:
Mansha-Allah Adeer, enjoy your trip.

Buurta hiliblaha offers a better view of the city, you should check it although its steep and kind of hard to climb lol.

Just because they allowed NGO's and aid to reach doesn't mean they can claim credit for development.

This thread is not a thread to mention somaliland ito waxaas. You have an entire section where you are allowed to gloat over the burning/death of imams and calling umaddan qurjile iyo caayo kale.

Either contribute without interjecting ur SL nonsense or leave my thread and open up ur own thread and talk as much as shit as you want there

Sxb, SL presence has improved the security aspect of the city and region in general. However, I wouldn’t give the government credit for the bold projects initiated by private investors. You could say that the improved security has made it easier for ppl to invest in the town and I would agree. But successive governments have neglected everything east of and including Burco. Public institutions should be decentralised.

Who is Fahima Quuje?
she is laascanood local council member that pushing for removal of the mayor.

I think laascanood need women leader that be a change.
I think Somaliland need a famale president 😂

If today dhulbahnte is the same dhulbahnte that fought the British than I think the darvish movement was overrated .
