Ethiopia didn't defend Gaalkacyo in 2006, it was Puntland & HG militia that defended the city, Ethiopia entered from Hiiraan.

^ Amxaar never came to the rescue of Puntland, not when they were fighting the Maxakiim nor when AY was fighting Al-itixad, beenta inaga daa. As Monk said, they entered from the south of Galguduud, this shows you that the Maxakiim were pushed back.

Al-itixad were defeated in few days by AY whereas other Militias asked for Ethiopian back up to defeat al-itixad, this shows you the differences in strenght between PL and others

In Mudug there is nowhere to hide, that's what a victory would be easy. Even Al-Shabaab is getting beat by some simple clan militias in Galguduud. Galgala is Somalia's Afghanistan, you just can't beat a guerrilla army in that region.

come on son.u have been watching too much american media.this is not the US vs Afghanistan awowe,and it wasnt Apache vs AK47.this was two somali militias with the same equipment and the same training,or lack of training in this case, fighting. thus it was a man to man shoot out on the galala hills thus there wasnt any technical difficulties.besides the majority of the PIS are reer bari and used to the mountainous terrain anywayz.and make no mistake attam's group werent sophisticated enough to make artificial caves or tunnels or even dig ditches. so the galagala saga only shows u how weakened is PL militia is right now and infected with dissertations,non pay, and low morals it is.PL started the all out assault allegedly with few thousand men and the vast majority of them quit and went bk to their tribes look at the picts of gen abdisamad & ilko jeer in galagala,they have what seems like couple hundered men.where are the rest? they indeed went bk home when they realized this was tribal war, and a distraction of the public attention from the real issues.
