6,000 capacity mosque built on a land reclaimed from the sea. Thanks to Turkey for making this a reality.

I am pleasantly surprised that it is the largest mosque in East Africa. You'd think larger neighbors, both in population and area, would have a much bigger mosque.

Construction started 4 years ago. Completion was Feb. 2019?

Edit: It officially opened this month.
