ABORTION

Abortion has always been a foriegn issue to Somalis and Moslems in general. but since alot of Somalis live in the West today, questions has be raised about the legality and ethics of abortions and whether our women should have the right to do it.
in my oppinion, abortion shouldn't be outlawed totally, but should be allowed for certian situation and circumstances. for example, if a woman, gets raped, I think its better for her to remove that fetus if she want to.
If the pregnancy is also danger to the health of the mother -I think it can be aborted. but if girls have sex, and don't wear condoms, or use birth control pills --and then tries to abort the baby --then its wrong and its her fault. there is also a time line, its easy to abort a fetus that is just less then 3 months -then a fetus that is well developed and almost over 6 months. its like killing a life person. so, women should be careful considering this, cuz they may be committing genocide while they don't know.

Abortion is becoming common among somalis because i knew this one somali girl who had 3 abortions consecutively. I think abotion is murder except in the case of rape/assault. I think somali pride might get in the way of dealing with this issue because somalis are too proud to admit that there daughters, sisters, and even mothers are not making the right choices.

Abortion is murder whether you like it or not...you are killing a human being!

God did not say that it was alright to get an abortion if a woman gets raped...what is wrong with you ignorent fools?

if a woman get's raped and then get's pregnant she should not have an abortion no matter what, it's not the unborn child's fault that she got raped... abortion is not acceptable in any way or in any circumstances....

What has the world come to, where it is alright to take another life...these problems would not occur if people waited to have sex after marriage.

if they didnt want 2 get pregnant they should have thought of that be4 havin sex and and later on feeling sorry 4 themselves,people can be sad and stupid sometimes.the babies didnt ask u 2 put him/her in this soo called world..

If the case is that you're raped;
The question is... Are you willing to follow up on a 2nd wrong doing by killing the child? Do 2 wrongs make a right? The first wrong was the rape. And ok, it may scar you emotionally and physically... but are you willing to kill? And by just getting rid of the fetus in your body; that's not gonna cure your phyical and emotional stress on the rape itself.

And people who think its ok to have an abortion have no soul and will burn in hell.

I think it is unacceptable...whether you got raped or not it does not give a woman the right to abort that child because allah intended for her to conceive the baby that way and she will get blessed for carrying that baby. Everything always happens for a reason.... even if it is embarassing to carry a child with no father at least you wont be going to hell for murder. I think that everyone has their own opinions... but the only right way is what the religion says.

excuse me i never said it was ok to abort a rape pregnancy....i have compassion for that poor person but it's still obviously wrong. Hopefully the rapist will be punished on judgement day or in jail.
