basically there are four groups: Somalis, blacks, whites and Hispanics
Somalis are mostly concetrated in the southside of minneapolis and southern suburbans! and due to this the south of minneapolis is bursting with new constructions, business, new roads and peaceful streets.
on the northside is solely black zone. there is homocide almost everyday, robbery and even the police are afraid to work there. in the latest news, there were three homocides.
homes in the north all are for sale, nobody wants to live there -its like Gaza.

The uptown is mostly white, its hip and artistic--usually frequented by liberal whites--there are alot of bars, restuarants, coffee shops --just the usual white stuff --but nowadays there were alot of robbery and even some homicides. so they requested police presence and now police patrol there.

The hispanics are usually on the East side and along the Lake street with the somalis. they usually get along with somalis --and they even have business together --although they are bringing drugs and have some organized gangs that keep putting graffiti on the walls.
when it comes to asians they don't live in Minneapolis -they live in the capital St.pual just across the bridge so that is where they at.
there are some arab business stores along the chicago ave -selling the usual gyros, philly steak so on and so forth. the arabs mingle with the blacks, most of the time u will find black teenages or drug dealers hanging infront of arab stores.
but somali stores are 100% halal --they don't sell cigarettes, pork or beer -and that is why you don't find drug dealer around them.
the hottest place in minneapolis is Block-E --its where the party at --24/7 u will find something to do in block E --its crazy during the weekend
