yeh try say u know i had a relative dat went pen he was given 2 years he there for like less than a year..coz day and night is considered 2 days so yeh if he was given 1 year he'll be out like less than six months.....or he coud jus go on a 6month holiday to BuRcO bOdH wEyN na seriously he'll be out in no time...... jus tell him 2 serve his time n inshallah kuli khair tell him to have conviction n in a way this cud be sutum good 4 him i mean locked away...away from all this fitna and temptation from this dunya ma garatay ..time to think n dat jus make sure he takes a copy of the noble quran wid him it will become his best fren and have patience coz after evry hardship comes ease!
