One fella i knew back in the day, would say to me 'its good to experience hard times, as it humbles you'. I was like wtf, even if i'm a millionaire, i'll be humble and thankful for what i have. Laakin when you experience success, you become filled with pride, as if though noone helped you to acheive your success.
Just look at some city bankers, who get millions in bonuses and end up killing themselves and on the other hand a simple muslim man, with nothing but his Iman and the smile on his face never disappears.
Moral of the story: Hard times keep a man humble.
