Asalamu alaykum warahmatullahi wabaraktuhu Lil_Cutie.., do you have a daleel for that? Plz provide it insha'Allah.

Anywayzzzz here's another sunnah: To eat from the food that is directly in front of you. I can't reply with more than a line so insha'Allah I'll post the daliil for this later on.

I can't find the ahadeeth, but another sunnah is the most obvious which is eating from the right hand. The right hand is mostly used for eating and for utilising generally clean things where the left hand is used for unclean things such as wiping ones self after relieving oneself in the washroom. Plz bros and sizzs add your input insha'Allah this could be a benefit to all of us. May Allah reward you all for just reading this tenfold insha'Allah or however much he wills.

Shaking hands was a sunnah practise of the Prophet (salallahu alayhi wasalam); when his companions and him would part, they would shake hands and when they met again they would embrace (hug) one another {saheeh hadeeth}. Plus, the Prophet (salallahu alayhi wasalam) said, ''Love for your (Muslim) brother, what you love for yourself''. So show gratitude and love to one another; this will result in higher imaan and a closer Ummah insha'Allah. ;)

Here's the Hadeeth for that...

Umar bin Abu Salamah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Messenger of Allah (PBUH), said to me, "Mention Allah's Name (i.e., say Bismillah before starting eating), eat with your right hand, and eat from what is near you.''
[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

Jabir (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: I heard Messenger of Allah (PBUH) saying, "If a person mentions the Name of Allah upon entering his house or eating, Satan says, addressing his followers: `You will find no where to spend the night and no dinner.' But if he enters without mentioning the Name of Allah, Satan says (to his followers); `You have found (a place) to spend the night in, and if he does not mention the Name of Allah at the time of eating, Satan says: `You have found (a place) to spend the night in as well as food.'''
[Muslim].

Abu Hurairah [RA] reported:

The Messenger of Allah [SAWS] recited in the two sunnah Rak`ah of the Fajr prayer Surah Al-Kafirun (in the first Rak`ah), and Surah Al-Ikhlas (in the second Rak`ah).

It is also stated in Ibn Majah and At-Tirmidhi - Reported by Abdullah Ibn Masoud that Nabi (saw) used to do this also in the SUNNAH rakahs of Maghrib. Surah Kafiroon in the first rakah and Surah Ikhlas in the second.

Nabi (saw) heard a man reciting the former surah in the first rakah 'Surah Kafiroon', so he said, 'This is a slave who believes in his Lord.' Then the man recited the latter surah in the second rakah 'Surah Ikhlas', so he said, 'This is a slave who knows his Lord.'

In the Prophets prayer described, written by Shiekh Albani.

Jazaki'Allahu khayr sister. Also, before sleeping it is sunnah to recite Surah Al-Mulk as the Prophet (salallahu alayhi wasalaam) says whoever dies upon reading this surah will be saved from the torments of the grave. Another sunnah is reading surah al-kahf on fridays, the Prophet (salallahu alayhi wasalaam) also said whoever dies on a Friday will enter paradise, and he used to read this surah every Friday. Let's all strive to be the best of this ummah so insha'Allah will be of the people that are interceded on the day of Judgement. :)

Al-Bara` bin `Azib (May Allah be pleased with them) reported: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "Whenever you intend to go to bed, perform Wudu' as is done for Salat (prayer); and then lie down on the right side and recite: `Allahumma aslamtu nafsi ilaika, wa fawwadtu amri ilaika, wal-ja'tu zahri ilaika, raghbatan wa rahbatan ilaika, la malja'a wa la manja minka illa ilaika, amantu bikitabik-alladhi anzalta, wa binabiyyik-alladhi arsalta [O Allah! I have submitted myself to You. I have turned my face to You, entrusted my affairs to You and relied completely on You out of desire for and fear of You (expecting Your reward and fearing Your punishment). There is no resort and no deliverer from (hardships) except You. I affirm my faith in Your Book which You have revealed, and in Your Prophet whom You have sent].' If you die during the night, you will die in the true religion. Let these words be your last words at night.''
[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

Narrated Abu Salama : I asked 'Aisha "Did the Prophet use to sleep while he was Junub?" She replied, "Yes, but he used to perform ablution (before going to bed). (Book #5,Al-Bukhari Hadith #284)

Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "When any of you goes to bed, he should shake off (or dust off) his bedsheet because he does not know what might have fallen on it after he had left it. Then he should recite: `Bismika Rabbi wada`tu janbi, wa bika arfa`uhu, in amsakta nafsi farhamha, wa in arsaltaha fahfazha bima tahfazu bihi `ibadakas-salihin [With Your Name, my Rubb, I place my side (upon the bed) and with Your Grace I will raise it up. If You withhold my soul (cause me to die), have mercy on it but if You let it go (let me live), guard it against which You guarded Your pious slaves].'''

Related Jabir that the Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alayhi wa sallam) said: "If one of you offers his prayers in the Mosque then he should make a portion of his prayers in his house, as Allah has made his prayers in his house a means of betterment (for him)." [Ahmad and Muslim]

'Umar related that the Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alayhi wa sallam) said: "The nawafil salah of a man in his house are a light; whoever wishes should lighten up his house." [Ahmad]

'Abdullah ibn 'Umar reports that the Prophet (sal Allahu alayhi wa sallam) said: "Make some of your prayers in your houses and do not turn your houses into graves." [Ahmad and Abu Dawud]

Recorded from Zaid ibn Thabit on sound authority that the Messenger of Allah said: "A person's salah in his house is better than his salah in my mosque, except for the fard salah." [Abu Dawud]
