Postby marcassmith » Mon Sep 08, 2008 8:11 am

SPAC NEEDS YOUR HELP: We need your help to organise an event in November 2008. This is your opportunity to contribute towards a truly historic events that brings together all the leading political parties in Somaliland. Any ideas or suggestions would be welcomed. If you want to get involved please send me a private message.

On the day we want to explore two main themes:

Politics not Tribalism - a reference to somaliland progression towards interests based issues rather than qabil issues that has plundered south somalia.

Development of Somaliland - this will look at the political, social and economical contributions that can be made by the diaspora.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

SPAC is an advocacy organisation working hard for the recognition of Somaliland. Its aims are to primarily develop links between the Somaliland Government and those in the Diaspora. In addition to this, SPAC aims to engage and lobby those who wield power in the British Government.

Objectives of SPAC:

1. The recognition of Somaliland

2. To assist Somaliland's political development

3. To establish and maintain links with Somalilanders in the Diaspora

4. To engage with and lobby the British Government

5. Policy formualting Think Tank
