Dozen of Ethiopian MIG fighters have now landed in baledogle Military Airbase 100km west from Mogadishu, after Government troops backed by Ethiopian tanks struggled to gain control of the insurgent’s strongholds South of Mogadishu
An Ethiopian Commander has told Reuters that the Insurgents have dug deep holes into main roads preventing Ethiopian tanks from entering there Strongholds and slowing down tank manoeuvrings, The Insurgents whom are all part of the Habar Gidir clan that fiercely supported the extremist, Islamic Court Union that was ousted last December by a large offensive by Ethiopian forces vowed that they will fight to the last man
The Air strikes are expected to be carried out as soon as tomorrow, meanwhile dozen civilians continue fleeing to the outskirts of Mogadishu
