[quote="Abdi_westldn"]new labour has lost it's appeal. they've become so coservative that it's difficult to tell the difference between them and the tories. all that the OLD labour achievied during the 50s has been erdicated, the NHS is falling apart, school buildings are dilapidating, and the poor are bearing the brunt of council taxes. all in the poor belief that people want a political party that is geared towards the centre of the political spectrum...
thanks to thatcher brining down the unions, the poor workers have nowhere to vent their political dissatisfaction... these days, all they can do is refrain from voting...
in a way, i welcome this, because this means the tories have a better chance of winning, and though i lean to the left when politics are concerned, i think most somaalis would be better off with the tories.. cut in the dole, force them out to work, raise the real wages, and cut tax. yessir, atleast then we wont be nannied by how we spend out money, and the poor can be poor because of their OWN dealings and not the governments..
