How many Somali-American Police Officers are there in the USA ?

The most famous one is from San Diego who makes appearances on Hiiraan.com every 6 months.

Why don't more Somalis join their respective PDs ? The pay is great in certain areas not to mention you can retire after 20 years of service.

I am seriously considering applying for the PD.

i think a lot of somalian either have the madow mentality of f*** the po po or they are just too lazy to have the commitment to become a police officer.


can you retire after 20 years? with a full pension, so if a 20 yr old joins he can retire when he is 40, damn wheres this i wanna join

My friend and I tried to join the Army and I came close to signing up but punked out.

He joined and is set to retire by age 38 with a full pension.

While I ain't got that luxury.

yeah man workin till your 65 is not normal, even in the uk they wanna raise it to 67 to fund the pension deficit. Thats no life i wanna live inshallah, max 40 and retire in hargeisa with my fam and a nice villa inshallah

any city that has more than atleast a 5,000 somali residents should have a Somali-American police personel, to not only break down language barriers but also gain respect among americans who think all somalis do is take take TAKE! and never give back to their communities.

I once joined the police , the SL police of course , when they wanted to send me to Burco " I was like , hell no, I quit!!" , and that's the end of my public service.
