ROLLING STONES: FOR MICHAEL ITAL
Hey, Mick. Last saturday I was in El Ejido (Almería, Spain) watching The Rolling Stones in his Spanish-European tour. Amazing. Jagger is quite fantastic despite being 64 years old. He didn't stop dancing even not for a second through the whole show. In a certain moment of the show, a small stage inside the big stage started to move toward the center of the stadium with Mick, Keith Richards, Ronnie Wood, Daryll Jones and Charlie Watts on it. Suddenly, I had the Stones in front of me, just 5 metres from me, playing Miss You, It's Only Rock and Roll, Satisfaction and Honky Tonk Women. Then, they came back to the big stage to play Sympathy for the Devil.
It was two hours of one of the best shows I've seen in my life, with that great stage full of surprises.
The set list (they're change the set list everynight) was:
1. Start Me Up
2. You Got Me Rocking
3. Rough Justice
4. Bitch
5. Live With Me
6. Ruby Tuesday
7. Midnight Rambler
8. I'll Go Crazy
9. Tumblin' Dice
10. You Got The Silver (Keith Richards)
11. I Just Wanna Hold You (Keith Richards)
12. Miss You (Small stage)
13. It's Only Rock And Roll (Small stage)
14. Satisfaction (Small stage)
15. Honky Tonk Woman (Small stage and going back to big stage)
16. Sympatthy for the Devil
17. Paint It Black
18. JJ Flash (The end)
19. Brown Sugar
Amazing.

Where are my favorites?
Beast of burden and Angie? If they did not play those songs --- the show sucked.

Re: ROLLING STONES: FOR MICHAEL ITAL
Derbi: They didn't play 'Beast of burden' and 'Angie', but who knows? They're playing different songs night after night. In this tour, the Rolling Stones decided that every night the show would be different, so they have a complete set-list changing in every gig. But, believe me: the concert is worthy to watch.

From the point of view that we are free here to do what we want and to go wherever we want without being controlled by religious police or some third-world government, Al-Andalus is actually liberated. We don't need burkas or abbayas here. In fact: the muslims of Al-Andalus, who were sufis, had a very different way of life of that one considered today as 'muslim': they drank wine, women dressed in the most modern fashion with transparent clothes and they wrote really good poems. They were open-minded muslims, philosophers and really advanced for their time. They were what you would call today 'secular muslims'. I don't think Al-Andalus would fit in your middle-age mentality. Too much sophisticated for you.

It's not about freedom, modern fashion or open-mindedness; it's about power. Europe cannot stay strong forever; sooner or later it's going to get weak, and Islamists will gain power. The next time, Muslims will conquer Al-Andalus for 2X800 years, insha'Allah.

Yeah: sit down and wait until the islamists have some power.

Hey, Derbi: Here's the lyrics of 'Beast of burden'
BEAST OF BURDEN
(M. Jagger/K. Richards)
I'll never be your beast of burden
My back is broad but it's a hurting
All I want is for you to make love to me
I'll never be your beast of burden
I've walked for miles my feet are hurting
All I want is for you to make love to me
Am I hard enough
Am I rough enough
Am I rich enough
I'm not too blind to see
I'll never be your beast of burden
So let's go home and draw the curtains
Music on the radio
Come on baby make sweet love to me
Am I hard enough
Am I rough enough
Am I rich enough
I'm not too blind to see
Oh little sister
Pretty, pretty, pretty, pretty, girl
You're a pretty, pretty, pretty, pretty, pretty, pretty girl
Pretty, pretty
Such a pretty, pretty, pretty girl
Come on baby please, please, please
I'll tell ya
You can put me out
On the street
Put me out
With no shoes on my feet
But, put me out, put me out
Put me out of misery
Yeah, all your sickness
I can suck it up
Throw it all at me
I can shrug it off
There's one thing baby
That I don't understand
You keep on telling me
I ain't your kind of man
Ain't I rough enough, ooh baby
Ain't I tough enough
Ain't I rich enough, in love enough
Ooh! Ooh! Please
I'll never be your beast of burden
I'll never be your beast of burden
Never, never, never, never, never, never, never be
I don't need no beast of burden
I need no fussing
I need no nursing
Never, never, never, never, never, never, never be

Re: ROLLING STONES: FOR MICHAEL ITAL
Kamal, I see you are another classic rock fan. Well my favorite band is Crosby, Stills and Nash. By the way, M. Jagger never gets old huh? The dude is still keep on rocking..
Here is my favorite song of the Crosby, S & N -- Southren Cross..
Got out of town on a boat goin' to southern islands.
Sailing a reach before a followin' sea.
She was makin' for the trades on the outside,
And the downhill run to Papeete Bay.
Off the wind on this heading lie the Marquesas.
We got eighty feet of the waterline.
Nicely making way.
In a noisy bar in Avalon I tried to call you.
But on a midnight watch I realized why twice you ran away.
Think about how many times I have fallen,
Spirits are using me, larger voices callin'.
What heaven brought you and me cannot be forgotten.
I have been around the world,
lookin' for that woman, girl,
who knows love can endure.
And you know it will. And you know it will.
When you see the Southern Cross for the first time,
You understand now why you came this way.
'Cause the truth you might be runnin' from is so small.
But it's as big as the promise, the promise of a coming day.
So I'm sailing for tomorrow, my dreams are a dyin'.
And my love is an anchor tied to you, tied with a silver chain.
I have my ship and all her flags are a flyin'
She is all that I have left and music is her name.
Think about how many times I have fallen,
Spirits are using me, larger voices callin'.
What heaven brought you and me cannot be forgotten.
I have been around the world,
lookin' for that woman, girl,
who knows love can endure.
And you know it will. And you know it will.
So we cheated and we lied and we tested
And we never failed to fail, it was the easiest thing to do.
You will survive being bested.
But somebody fine will come along make me forget about loving you.
At the Southern Cross.
What a lyric....

Re: ROLLING STONES: FOR MICHAEL ITAL
That sounds fantastic! I'd love to see them in Europe. I'm reading that there's rumoured to be a private gig on the 12th July in Barcelona.
@5M. Were you there on Press Credentials?
Re: ROLLING STONES: FOR MICHAEL ITAL
I don't know, Mick. As far as I know, they're playing on July, 9, in Montenegro and July, 14, in Belgrad. It could be possible that they play in Barcelona on July, 12, but they played there last June, 21...
I'm thinking about going to London next August for the end of the tour. I don't want to miss it.
