The Tikrey/TFG Body Count Thread

Post by Diblomaasi »

In the spirit Somalinimo, I propose a body count of Bakhti tikrey and TFG lackeys. Let us keep this thread updated with the latest number of 'injir' squashed. If we could get this thread to be made sticky, the better.

I will start by adding the 30 mentioned by Hiiraan Boy. This is the format we will use:

Injir squashed: 30
Date: Jan 8, 2008
Where: Dayniile, Muqdishu

Total Bakhti thus far: 30

Time Magazine said couple months or so ago that thousands of Ethiopians died in Somalia since late '06. So that's your starting point.

'Thousands' is hardly a starting point. If someone could come up with a figure and cite their source, then that could be considered a starting point. In the mean time let's try to count starting from Jan. 2008.

Costa's was from December and didn't specify troops or civillians.

So the rightful count is 41 killed in 2 days

Amount Killed: 6
Date: January 16, 2008
Where: Fagax, Yaaqshiid, Xamar (my old hood in Somalia)
Total Dead So far: 55

The explosion was big, probably killed a lot more, but this is what the initial witness count was. Ethiopians don't release numbers. Perfectly coordinated, many dead many injured, Ethiopians had to bring planes to carry away the dead, so probably killed a lot more then 6.

^^^^^^^^^
The number above is a little conflicting at the moment as Dayniile is reporting close to 15 dead, but isn't giving exact numbers. We will go with the initial 6 count till further confirmation of the number dead is given.
