..i want to save up like 20 thousand USD and move to Thailand to live like a king off sports betting and being adored by the local women
..my question, is this a legit possibility?
..and if not, is Thailand a place where a forigner would be accepted to pursue a career?
..i realize the American dollar goes a mighty long way over there, I was just curious if you think $20,000 plus gambling on the side would make it?
A major pronouncement

20,000.00 USD = 685,448.59 THB
United States Dollars Thailand Baht
1 USD = 34.2724 THB 1 THB = 0.0291780 USD

Thailand is cheap, you can get by on 2-3 dollars a day.

1man - Thailand, specially Bangkok isn't really that cheap. Unless you intend on living in backpackers heaven Khao San Road, its not worth it. Many foreigners do teach english here and I believe the standard payment is around $1500, not really worth moving there for. Besides you will have to accept the fact local Thais do not like black folks and would rather employ a farang(white).
If you can up your money to $50k, you can probably find a decent motel to lease for 5yrs in Phuket or even Khao Sand area. Good luck

Aerosmith you are very well informed
iman, bro is that aussie dollars of US?
20,000 dollars will go a long way in thailand, but
it depends on your lifestyle.
you can go low key and not spend much for e,g
i spent 2 weeks in phuket and spent a total of $700
foof, accomodation, entertainment and motorcycle rental included.
pretty cheap innit?
ive also blown $8000 in 3 days..
your call.
one question though
gambling?? WTF?
how can one make a living gambling,
you are better of playing the stock, currency market online.

they are racist towrards sao which is a label under which all indian, arabs and anyone looking like them would be under..
mostly due to percieved indian stinginess, and arab bad behaviour.
the chinese and japanese are prefered and are kings,
then come the white farangs..
if you are seen as african american or british/european
then they adore you too...
oh yes and for $40,000 you can buy a one bedroom condo.
no kidding.

Gurey25 I love Bangkok dude
. Will be there in January Insha Allah. If you are there maybe we can get together at Sukumvit Soi 3 and grab some shawarma or you would rather prefer the kosher motel on Khao Sand Rd.
Cheers mate.
