Ciise Maxmuud speech.

Post by Voltage »

They have a speech peculiarity I have not noticed in any other Somali group even Majeerteens.

Why do they always add an "a" in the root form of words?

Dalkan = Normal speech
Dalakan= Ciise Maxmuud

Halkan = Normal Speech
Halakan=Ciise Maxmuud

Geedkaan=Normal Speech
Geedakan=Ciise Maxmuud

Qolkaan=Normal Speech
Qolakan=Ciise Maxuud

LOL! Thats actually true,

I noticed people in Garowe talked weird with additional A's like hal-A-kan instead of halkan.

They also say 'Booso' / 'Boososo' instead of just saying 'Bosaso'. :lol:
