I'm buying a new laptop next week. (insha allah). But I don't know what brand offers the best. My fav is Dell...any suggestions?

I would say get a mac.It depends on what your using your laptop though, if it's mostly multimedia, then go for a mac. But if you want a cheap laptop and your using it mostly for school, then get Toshiba or Dells.

Iam a Mac generation and have no clue about Windows. From 6th grade till graduating Highschool i was using Mac, so i ended up buying a Notebook in 2007 and i love it.

Easy Answer for you is what are you accustomed to. Most Window users think using Mac is hard but reality is Mac is easier. If you grew up using windows than stick to it.

Yea that's the thing, most schools use windows, and some software is not compatible with a mac. But most commonly used software is MS office(word, powerpoint etc), and they have that for macs now, so your good.

But you can always download 'crossover', which is a program that lets you download windows programs for the mac.

There is not a whole lot of differences, its a lot easier to use and macs are really good for multimedia.

You can get a cheap mac from the mac online store, a good refurbished mac costs about $800 (U.S)dollars.

If you're willing to spend $1000 on a laptop, I'd advise you to get a Mac.
