Wiseman..actually a very good question..and the answer is YES..i think its wrong for Somalis to be writing/speaking in English amongst themselves..especially in this 'Somali' forum...i think its really sad.

It's considered wrong for her to use words that are spoken in the South hence she's from the North.
It would have been a different issue if she grew up in the South and had the accent.

This forum has taught me (and I don't mean to generalize) that reer Waqooyi people are the exact replica of the American southernors in our society.

Their accent is a minority, and their behavior is one driven by inferiority complex. Every cultural/linguistic comparison, every close-minded Somali linguistic/cultural discussions is either engineered by or furthered by reer Waqooyi.

Find me a reer Koonfuureed that opens a topic comparing laxoox and canjeero or "rodhi" to roti and I will give you a hundred bucks because they are oblivious to it and don't care about it that much. Waa dad isku kalsoon.

In the same way you will never find an American from Seattle or New York bringing up the south but the southerners are always comparing "southern style" to the "Yanks". Minorities waa dad kale wallahi.
