Most Somalis born and bred outside Somalia suffer from inferiority complex...taas waa hubal.

funny you mentioned that.

because in another thread you said this
American Suufi is one of the best ppl here on Somalinet.

Hes funny. Hes patriotic. He makes sense 99% of the time. He tells it as it it is..he's not in the business of sugar coating.    :rose: :rose:

praising the poor sufi with the inferiority complex. Does not compute

Somalia Has been like this for 20 years. Another 20-30 years if it continues like this, Why not have the place go under sometime of UN Trusteeship, while We can go back to a seaside home and live in civilization as "locals" about to be handed their Country back?

Voltage,

It's ironic sxb, b/c u display totally the opposite of what Gerald Hanley describes of the Somalis he met.

He also mentions how the Bantu is easily impressed by the white man's magic i.e. western technological advancement, while the Somalis don't give a flying fok about how technologically advanced Gaalka is. Adiguna, you diss the proud Somalis here who display their famous misplaced arrogance by presenting their tribal homelands as the Garden of Eden itself, something the author himself encountered while talking to a group of young Somali men during the first years of the Somali republic. He found it ridiculous, but admirable at the same time and a great example of the Somali man's sense of superiority over every other nation in this world.

Lakin that is if u were really bothered by that behaviour for reasons you have claimed, or perhaps my assertions were true and you decided to throw in the towel in this competition because as a Marehan you could not maintain yourself in this vicious competition of 'my tuulo is better than urs' any longer.

I also find it ironic, b/c this book TOTALLY and COMPLETELY destroys your claims of Majeerteen lacking in bravery, fierceness, etc. etc. Instead you have portrayed us for years as weak connivers without principles.

Well, this book is the most on point piece of literature about the Somali Man out there, the favorite book about Somalis to many noted Somali intellectuals (among whom Ragge Omaar) of which its author has lived amongst the Majeerteen about whom most of his impressive narratives of the warrior within the Somali were about.

Somalia has the longest coastline in Africa. Allaah dhul ayuu nasiiyay

Soomaali naago ma qabaan, naagaha somaaliyeed are extremely talkative, unshy, smiley in front of strangers and ajnabi men.

Nomadic culture
" The Somalis are largely nomadic, roaming throughout the Horn of Africa. They live in small, temporary hamlets that are dismantled and loaded on to camels for quick and easy migration. Because of this nomadic way of life, social units tend to be small and self-sufficient. This style of life has created a people that have been described as "independent in nature, temperamental and strikingly intelligent."

Cinque, you can't compare former Somalis and the world to 2009 Somalia and the world. I admire the qualities of pride, intelligence, etc displayed by the Somalis then in their untouched world but in today's globalized world I would admire more advanced qualities along those such as literacy, intelligence (book intelligence), professionalism, technocratism, etc. Nothing changed, just the Somalis changed into something despicable post-1991. Their old culture is gone and their current culture isn't really a culture.

Murax,

We are already not in control of our nation. Its a sick game:

1. Group B rises and crushes Group A and succeeds to have vast majority of nation under their control.

2. Group A flees and seeks aid from foreign backers to attempt to crush Group B.

3. Group B now is in charge and has credibility on the ground while Group A has international credibility.

4. Group A now with foreign backing seeks international intervention to be brought to power and with foreign aid they are strengthened again to fight Group B.

5. Group B breaks up under international pressure (political, military) and Group A gets power only to lose it again after interfighting creates a weak authority.

This game repeats over and over.

The International Community never wants one side to win. It prefers that either its Group A wins and implements whatever agenda it has but never allows Group B to rule because Group B's agenda does not match that of the International Community.

Voltage,

In war there are winners and losers. The International Community doesn't want to see the conflict ending unless their backed group triumphs. Yet even then, the International Community doesn't provide the vast amount of resources for that group to annihilate the opposition or even force their backed group to negotiate an amicable peace deal with the opposition.
