Waar Duceysane, they have no lives, dont waste your time. They are clear examples of a jealous and desperate people. Somaliland was given independence by Britain, before being united with Somalia (ex-Italian Somalia) under the Siad Barre regime. On the fall of the dictator in 1991, Somaliland again declared its independence. It has since built a largely peaceful, tribal/democratic society. This is based on a democratically elected lower house, and a tribally selected upper house. This is in marked contrast to (Italian) Somalia, and to Puntland - both failed states. The Somaliland navy has completely controlled piracy in its national waters, and has offered base facilities and cooperation to the international anti-piracy forces. It is time the UK recognised its former colony as a successful, independent state and as a partner
