Somali Language

Postby Narcissistic » Tue Feb 09, 2010 2:53 am

What is the best way to improve your vocabulary? I have tried reading news articles but the language used is far too complex.

Are there like any beginner level books you can get on ebay or something ?

I remember I had this book in my house along with a somali dictionary. It is okay, but it is standard somali, which nobody speaks so you end up sounding like a moron.

Narcsissit,

As Helwaa said, just talk to other Somalis specially your parents if they speak Somali. The best way is to practice...What was the proverb? Practice makes perfect

Ganjaweed,

You know perfect Somali  Good for you...

Qoraxeey, my folks always say speak Somali at home. I would but I just feel so silly. There is just something about me that can't handle not being able to articulate myself properly. :(

Lol masha'Allah good on Hyper. I might take a leaf out of his book. :D
