I wonder if we, somalis, ever have/had table manners!!!. I ask this question because I am imbarrassed bad table manners Somali men show in Somali restaurents. Chickens can show better eating manners.

There is a pleasure in eating like a real man, like a Barbarian. The femanine style of spooning one grain of rice onto a metalic object is far too Naagnimo.

Eat with your hands and talk as you eat.

Eating evolved as a communal activity and the modern eating disorders are associated with enforced unnatural eat ceremonies.

huuno, we eat(should eat) according the sunnah of the nabi(pbuh)...and eating like a barbarian and talking with a mouthful is far from the sunnah..

ps, i do agree with eating with your hands though.. :up:

i could never eat with my hand, since im a left handed, people seems to notice me more than when i use the fork

LOL Hyper there arent a lot of left handed somalis... in my encounters.

how you learned? please share the secrate. being from the family im from , people always try to shame me using the left hand.
specially when i hand tea/cofee/juice to my father's friends! i tried but i made so much mess in the place and couldnt even put one full spoon into my mouth.lol

man it's so hard to use right hand. i cannot even comb my hair with my right hand. it's so weak to use

u know they say folks who are left handed are usually very smart...i'm sure u can teach yourself to use your right hand.

Wow it runs in the family miya :lol:

I read somewhere that kids born premature tend to be left handed so I just wanted to test that.
