House prices in Hargeisa

Postby Cumar-Labasuul » Sat Dec 18, 2010 1:52 pm

Guys, do you know where I can view current house prices in hargeisa?

I'm asking because I keep hearing very high prices. My for example I have a house in xawaadle and we bought it in 2003 for around $20K - this was an already built house and the land included, I would say it is about 18x13 = 234 square meters

When we asked local people about the price they said that you bought it for a lot of money and that it was expensive. Now, another guy I know who lives in london, he bought a plot of land in dalooldho about 6/7 years ago for about $2k and he then built a house on this land for about the same price as us but the house is bigger.

So guys is the best way to have a big house to buy a plot of land outside the city then build a sees (?) around this land and wait till the city reaches this area?

ive heard the price are very high apprently its now cheaper to bulid a house than to purchase ones in old parts of hargeisa. the houses tend to be smaller in old areas of hargeisa like iddacda biyodhacy and place like dat.

20k for a house in xawaadle is very cheaper seeing that its near everything, how many bedrooms is it not good wid length and stuff . my eedo who went to hargeisa in summer 2010 said that a bulit house in hargeisa is costing 50 - 60 k. To me that expensive coz wen she asked for a plan for her land in bada cas they said it will cost 70k for a 6 bedroom house.
Land is expensive too think its around 10 k mark now in place coz there no more space unlike u wanna go out in to the miyi

I like Naaso Hablood neighbourhood. I am thinking of purchasing a 5 star mansion in New Hargeysa.. Walking up with fresh air from the rural surrounding areas, eating fresh laxoox in the morning and drinking qaxwo in the beautiful sunrise of Hargeysa. 8-)
