Lool, well hello! We xaayows are not known for been extremists when it comes to qabiil. My mum always wanted to come to England, and once she came here, it was goodbye to Somalia. She never instilled in us overt patriotism.

My brother is about to finish secondary school and he was born in this country. The people I've met that have been here as long as me, are as bad as me when it comes to Somali affairs, so I'm not stressing. Lol

Warsan, the only generation in the UK that do not speak Somali are the 9/10 year olds. I don't know what village you live in but here in London, kids in secondary school have a good grasp of Somali.

I once walked by a guy who was holding the somali flag and he accidently brushed it against my external clothing. I think that is as close as I came to it. Not out of xaasidnimo, but haven't gotten the urge to touch it. I have supported somaliwayne previously but never ever went to their cuqdad filled events in the twin cities.

The Somalian flag is universally known, laakin ive never seen the Irani copy aka Somaliland flag up until i revised more of Somali politics and that was 1 1/2 years ago. Besides with the exeption of Isaaq clan no one else recognizes it. It qualifies as a tribal flag me thinks.
