Mr. Abdihakim Mohamoud Hajji Fiqi the defence Minister of the Somali government who is also the deputy Prime Minister has explained his recent trip to Italy, and called it a successful one.
“In my recent visit to our former Colony (Italy) I met with top Italian government officials including my counterpart in Italy and the Prime Minister, and we have really discussed about the current situation of Somalia and in fact the government of Italy is determined to devotedly help Somalia be it military wise, amenities and other infrastructures” said Fiqi the minister for defence of Somalia.
The defence Minister has also added that the Italian government has pledged that it will train Somali soldiers for the defence of the country.
Italy and Britain have both colonized Somalia in the north by the British and South by the Italian, and after the collapse of the last effective central government of Somalia in 1991 the north has immediately called itself from the rest of Somalia and called itself a sovereign country, while endless tribal clashes have begun in the south, which have resulted till today instability in the entire of the southern regions in Somalia.
