Mashallah!

The Imam was certainly the most important Somali clan elder and may God Almighty make the next one as wise and honorable as the last. The inauguration of the Imam is a rare event and despite the sadness and immense loss of the late Imam, I am sure folks will be anxious to watch the Inauguration of the new Imam.

Ilaaheey Naxariistii Janno Haka waraabiyo Murxuubka.

As for the claim that he was the best Somali clan elder, I have to disagree. While, as a traditional clan elder his power was limited, the Imaam was in bed with some of the worst Somali warlords ever; people like Maxmed Dheere, Muuse Dameer Yalaxoow and so on. And let us not forget that the Abgaal zones in Muqdisho are big no-no areas for all the other Somalis including other Hawiyes. What was his influence? What you made say he was the best clan elder? If I were you, I would let the Marxuum rest in peace and not bring any politics in here. He left with his actions to his final resting place.

In my view, the elders in Puntland and Somaliland are the best clan leaders in Somalia. They have achieved what many other clan elders have failed to do. Or shall I say they put their differences aside for the greater cause of peace and coexistence!

Guhad,

Those in Somalia know the importance and history of the late Imam. The mere fact that his death is receiving this much coverage and besides his funeral attracting the attendance of all Somali leaders in itself speaks volume. There is no other clan elder that has had this honor bestowed on him.

Thanks for the pictures guys, and the update. :rose:

I can't wait to see the inauguration of the new Imaam, even though it will happen as result of a mournful event.

You mean Qabuuraha Macalin Nuur?

The Imam is usually crowned and buried in Cadale, but these are not normal times and hence the Imam was buried in Jaziira Mogadishu. I suspect the coronation of the new Imam will also happen in Mogadishu

Yes. Macalin Nuur.

Why is the Imaam always from Harti Abgaal? Was he Da'uud? Is that why he was burried in Jazira?

Because the Harti Abgaal are the eldest son. The Imam is chosen through hereditary means and it's passed from father to son. The new Imam will be the 18th Imam. In fact, Reer Imam is now essentially a juufo.

The Ugaas is Daud-Wacbuudhan

What about Weceysle? Were they younger than Harti Abgaal?

No, bro. Daud, Celi, Reer Mataan, Kabaale Wacbuudhan, Abdulle Galmaax & Mohamed Muse are all Wacbuudhan

Harti-Abgaal is divided into Warsengali, Agoon-Yar, Abdulle Aaron and etc

Waceysley is divided into Abdirehman Saleeban, Fiqi, Cali Gaaf, Mohamed Cade, Eebakar-Gaab and etc

Waceysley is the youngest son
