Failure of Obama in Egypt and the middle east

Post by union »

The Egyptians intend on prosecuting Hosni Mubarak and his children with charges that carry the death penalty, while seizing his assets. Not good as this will cause other Arab dictators to dig in and fight lest they suffer his fate. It’s a shame that Obama hasn’t offered political asylum to a leader who has been a staunch ally of the United States for decades. It’s a sure fire why to diminish America’s international influence.

Mubarak heeded Obama and gave up power peacefully. Today it's likely he'll be sentenced to death. No wonder Bashar Al Assad is killing tens of thousands, it's his only chance of living.... :|

Union i think your intellectual and patriotic. But this american ass kissing fuckery needs to stop. Nobody gives a damn about the US, remember that they have put the stick in the wheel for Somalia plenty of times.

Politics and interests are bitches. This is the problem Obama has( he can't support every revolution). Even Aljazeera, which claims to support the so-called Arab awakening, doesn't cover the protests in the same way, Bahrain being the most obvious example. I would love to see Aljazeera if there was a revolution in Qatar.

I don't understand Obama. He's authorized bombings on Ghadafi, a man who has made amends with America and the West, forced Mubarak out of office even though he was a long time American ally, but when it comes to Syria, he's been pretty silent on Bashar Al Assad even though he's an Iranian puppet and anti American leader.

I'm saying the cost of letting him be executed is greater than the benefit. Sure it would be justice, but justice at what price?

I was surprised Mubarak resigned and didn't leave the country. Did no country offer him asylum?
