It takes very smart persons to organize that and get away with it.

i have witnessed first hand with some Indian students but i couldnt really care.They have some very,very demanding parents.

They were 5 of them,3 volunteered to do some office "help" for the professors getting access to most materials.

In one class,we were required to finish a project within a deadline,found them amending the same material for each one of them.They were so organized and in tune it was worth observing for couple of years. It was fascinating how precise they moved. I think the professors didnt care coz they always managed to score almost on par

Ones I went college with were far from being smart.

May be they didn't have access to test-banks, who knows?

Guess they are smart if they get away with it and brave. I am too of a chicken to cheat and it will stress me.

Honestly though why can't they just study if they are going to put in the hard yard anyways. SMH

are you guys kidding me? you guys never seen international indhoyar students stacking all the exams from the previous few years for any given class and studying the living crab out of it? I realized asians werent smart at all in my sophmore university year,but they are tireless SOBs.if you ask most chinese or Koreans they dont pride themselves on high IQ,but on out hard working everyone else

It is not cheating; it is preparing for an exam and get the highest possible marks that one can attain. These Asian kids study so hard that they do not want to risk missing one or two points. Particularly, if one instructor is hard on marks and very picky on smaller mistakes, some students try to seek his past exams and once they get them, they get the highest marks. It is all about being organized and trying to beat the system.

Asians are terrible at English and humanities, but they destroy the curve in math and science classes. I strategically always drop any class that has too high a percentage of Asians in when it comes to math/science.

lol@Baadiyo, ur sarcasm is well noted.but the thing is that the asian cheating is more under the table than the Greek system.In my neck of the woods,Greeks seem to get away with almost everything,from letting under age chicks drink,organized cheating and even distributing and selling those bills that make you focus and finish a 6 pages paper in 3 hours that are usually prescribed for A.A.D kids(I forgot its name).Despite all that,most cadaans in the Greeks are get by and C or B students.while Asians are more efficient with their qish and make those A's which creates this fake aroma of "asians are smart" around themselves.not to mention international students run a tight ship with their qish,while the cadaans in the Greek will hook you up if you are friend with them.

Asian students are indeed smart - probably smarter than any other student group. But people totally miss the source of Asian scholastic excellence. It is not genetics alone; in other words, Asians don't excel academically because they're Asian. Culture is the source of Asian excellence in school.

Asian cultures in general stress hardwork and persistance. This fact was amply demonstrated in numerous studies. In these studies, it was found that Asian students don't give up solving difficult questions as quickly as non-Asian students. In fact, were it not for the tests administrators instructing the Asian students to stop, the students would've kept at it for hours on end. This is cultural not smarts alone. I once read a study in the US that compared how many hours Asian, Black, Latino and White students spent on doing homework. While it didn't come as a shock that Asian students spend the most hours on doing homework, the real revelation was the relative rate among the different race groups and the correlation between school grades and hours spent on homework. If my recollection is correct, Asian students spend about 12 hours per class per week on doing homework; Whites came second with I think 10 or 11 while Blacks and Latinos spent only 4 and 5 respectively. No surprise then that Asian and Whites get better grades than Blacks and Latinos.

It's all about hardwork and persistance.
