Al shabaab: Relief agencies displace Somalis

Postby fatimazahra » Mon Jul 25, 2011 3:00 am

MOGADISHU (Sh. M. Network) – The Al shabaab movement on Monday accused international relief agencies of displacing Somalis inside the country.

The group, which declared its allegiance to Al Qaeda network, called for the people in their strongholds to stay at home instead seeking food and water outside of the country amid devastating drought that forced thousands to flee.

Sheikh Ali Mohamoud Rage, the spokesman of Al shabaab repeated the United Nations relief agencies are telling lie about the drought situation of Somalia, saying their statements are clear exaggeration and no famine in the area they control.

He said rains started to fall in parts of southern Somalia, adding that rivers commenced to flow. And he urged Somali farmers and herders to stay at their homeland and take advantage of the rains.

People have died already and each faction is only concerned about appearing the Hero when the dust settles.

cirwaq it is so sad wallah
Sometimes we expect too much from these men. The teacher, the politician, the sheik, the father, etc they are emotionally damaged victims of a 20year war. Add a few diaspora thiefs only there to steal the money and we have a never ending cycle.
