of course if you take pictures from here and there and combined them together, the city might look beautiful but there's nothing beautiful about addis ababa or Ethiopia as a whole. addis ababa is one of the dirtiest places on earth and even basic things, such as the latest gadgets, computers and many other electronic things are scarce in the city because people can't freely import such things. Somalia is 3x a head of Ethiopia in terms of technology and business movements. Ethiopians are very closed-minded society and their government is one of the worst governments in the world today. it is total dictatorship. no freedom whatsoever!
my Rwandan friend traveled through addis ababa while he was going to his country and he had horrible things to say. he said that he "never" saw so many beggars in his life and that he wished he never traveled through there. he said it almost felt like everybody was a beggar. he also said that the city was dirty and nasty as hell!
so don't tell me addis ababa is beautiful! it is a garbage dump!
