Ethiopia v Somalia Second Leg Qualifier

Postby Jaidi » Tue Nov 15, 2011 9:24 pm

Second leg is tommorow. Winner goes through to final group stage. I suspect we will get destroyed in Addis, but I'm still hoping for a miracle. It would be great to see Somalia in a year long group stage against some of the bigger stars in the continent  I wish them the best of luck inshallah.

A score draw will scrape us through. Ethiopia is beatable. They are our level.

If we go 1-0 up, we have to park the bus

0-0 draw takes it into ET then penalties, we can win this the Greece in 2004 way

Park the bus from the get go. Play a 9-1-0 formation and hope we score from a set piece. We gonna take anti-football to a whole new level

I say screw scoring, we play hardcore defense around the box through 120 mins and win the game on penalties.

India have over a billion and they produce next to nothing on the field, albeit they already have a national sport, so at least their excuse is somewhat valid.

Mountain time zone is Utah, Colorado, Arizona right? We're pacific and an hour behind of the mountain time. You're right. Thanks. Will the match be streaming on any website online?

somalia has no chance of winning this game. for one thing, these kids are not used to playing in stadium full of energetic and die-hard fans who will be cheering for the other side.

they definitely have home court advantage and my instincts tell me that will likely have a huge impact on our players. i just hope a few hundred will show up.

but even with that, i still think our players can take advantage of this weak team.
